Are you curious about how New Life functions, our leadership, what we believe, and how to serve? Comprised of an afternoon class, First Steps is designed to help you connect with New Life, discover your personal and spiritual gifts, and how you can use those gifts for God. First Steps is offered after Sunday Morning service during the months of August, November, February, and May.

Belong
This is an overview of New Life, led by our Lead Pastor, Paul Zink II. He will discuss our story, Points-of-Passion, and how you belong at New Life.
Connect & Grow
Connect & Grow is about connecting with the body of Christ and growing in our relationship with the Lord is essential to every believer. This step will show the value and give clear steps to connect here at New Life and to achieve spiritual growth.
Serve
The last part of the class emphasizes the areas of ministry that New Life offers and how you can contribute in those areas. The Scripture teaches us that Jesus came not to be served, but to serve. We believe serving is the highest calling and honor. This step will show you how you can begin to serve in the ministries here at New Life.

Classes are offered quarterly after service in the Fellowship Hall. To make sure we have lunch and childcare available, please pre-register.

Yes, please pre-register. We want to have food for you, and if needed, the childcare staff to make sure your children are also fed and taken care of during the class.
The goal for First Steps is threefold – 1. Connection 2. Membership 3. Serving.
– Connection
We want everyone to understand who we are and where we are going. At First Steps we will focus on vision, beliefs, and how you can connect.
– Membership
At New Life we often hear from new members, “It feels like home.” Membership about making New Life your church home and family. At First Steps you will be given the option to become members.
– Serving
First Steps is a prerequisite to serving at New Life.
Yes, you must attend the whole of First Steps must be completed in order to serve at New Life.
There is no cost for the First Steps course.
First Steps will last from 12pm – 2:30pm. First Steps covers three, distinct areas – Connect, Grow, & Serve.
There will be childcare provided during the First Steps class. To reduce confusion in the children’s department, please pick up your child after service and recheck them in for the class.
Yes, we will provide a meal for each person registered. Therefore, please register everyone that will be attending.
First Steps will begin 10 minutes after the closing prayer. This will give parents a chance to pick up their children and recheck them in for First Step’s childcare.
Nope! We will have everything you need. We will even provide you with a free lunch for those attending, even for your children.
The class will be held in the Follow Youth Room.
Although an opportunity to become a member of New Life will be made available at the end of the class you are not required to become a member to serve or complete First Steps.
To unite with the vision of New Life and the heart for service, it is essential that each Serve Life volunteer completes all three steps. Once the course is completed you will be able to identify New Life’s vision, points of passion, and ways to connect.

New Life U
On Wednesday Nights at 6:30 pm, we come together as a church to go deeper into the Word and diving deeper into what The Lord has for us. During the year, we will have times of prayer or scripture study led by our staff pastors.
These nights are set aside to pursue the Holy Spirit and make room for Him to move. As spiritually hungry people, we are seeking revival through prayer, deep worship, open altars, personal ministry, laying on of hands, and prophetic ministry. Our expectation is that all who come hungry will leave filled, changed, and renewed.

Serve
Serve Life is our volunteer ministry designed to help you connect and serve in areas that you’re passionate about. Jesus said He did not come to be served but to serve. This is the heart behind Serve Life – to pour out the love of Jesus on the people that walk through the doors of the church. Whether it is by serving coffee, greeting people at the door, or helping someone find their way to the children’s church, it is all important, and we all work together to provide a place where people feel loved, noticed, and cared for. Come serve with us!

Welcome Hosts
Warmly host our guests and congregation, answer questions, and distribute information about New Life.
First Steps
Assist in all areas of our First Steps classes.
Ushers
Greet our congregation and assist with seating, offering, and communion.
The Cafe
Serve coffee and provide refreshments on Sunday mornings before service.
Production
Assist during service times with cameras, computer, lighting, audio, video, staging, photography, and more.
Children’s Ministry
Kid Life & Little Life. Assist with check-in, care for children, teach lessons, operate sound & lighting, and build relationships with the kids.
The Storehouse
There are many ways to get involved at the Storehouse! You can help stock and organize donations, help customers shop along with many other tasks. To learn more about serving at the Storehouse click here!
Student Ministries
Follow & Follow JV. Greet students, lead a small group, and assist with creative elements and special events.
Worship & Arts
Music, dance, drama, and art. This area requires previous experience, an audition process, and a desire to serve.
