Outreach Everywhere, Everyone, Everyday.
The heart behind local outreach at New Life is to train up a people that live outreach by extending the love of Jesus to those we encounter on a daily basis. We will sometimes plan large events to bring the gospel together to the community but our hope is that we all become lights to our community and be a giver of the gospel every day.
Our next Points of Light Outreach is
Saturday, September 14th at 9am!
There are many different teams that you can choose to be a part of. This is so that wherever you are comfortable and feel led to serve, there is an important place for you. Register for a team below!
Healing on the streets
There are many walking through life broken and sick. We will go to a public area to boldly ask with a sign, “Do you need healing?” Just as Jesus offered healing to those He encountered on the streets, we will do the same in His name! We are believing for miracles to take place through a simple prayer and declaring healing over broken bodies.
We will be assisting in various projects around the farm like planting and working in the greenhouse and Community Farm Area. The goal of Eden Gardens is to build a self-sustaining eco-farm that will train and feed thousands. It is a project to change the face of hunger and poverty locally and worldwide.
We want the elderly in our community to know they are not forgotten! We will visit a couple of homes to pour out the attention and love of Jesus to those that often get neglected. These teams are a family friendly option where the entire family can get involved.
Many children come into foster care with only the clothes on their backs. The Foster Closet is a free resource for foster parents to access clothing, toys, and children’s furniture, and more to help take care of the foster children entrusted to them. This volunteer team will be cleaning inside and doing some exterior yardwork in preparation for their grand opening in their new building.
LAWN CARE TEAMS
Let’s spruce up some lawns for those that are not able to do it themselves. We will mow, trim, edge, pull weeds and, of course, pray and love on those who need it. Also, if you know of someone in need of lawn care help, fill out a needs form at the Ministry Center for those you’d like to nominate.
Streets is a ministry that incorporates worship, prayer, and training to equip teams of Believers to go out to the streets of Jacksonville bringing God’s Word to people in their present situation. This team will take time to pray together and then go out to have intentional, Holy Spirit led conversations with individuals.
Lunch Prep Team
If behind the scenes is your thing, we need a team that will stay at New Life and prepare a yummy lunch for the rest of the teams.
Our desire is that everyone will return to New Life after the outreach and have lunch together as we share testimonies of what the Lord did that morning.
His Presence Everywhere
When you lift up the Name of Jesus He will draw all men unto Him. Through our daily surrender to the Lord, we invite His Presence into our lives. We are then a carrier of that Presence. The atmosphere that you carry can affect those around you and point people to this incredible Jesus of ours.
His Mission Everyone
We come across people every day that are hurting and searching for a better way. Someone to stop and notice them. We tend to make judgment calls every day on who is worthy of our attention. Jesus noticed the ones that many people passed by. Sometimes, we need to slow down and make sure we are pouring love and attention out on those Jesus wants to stop for.
His Life Everyday
We carry an answer inside of us, but many are unaware of the power it holds. It has the power to insert eternity into the temporary, give hope to the hopeless and repair the broken. Wow, that is incredible! We simply must give this truth and life away every day. First we must carry an awareness of the heart needs around us. Second we must be willing to respond to that need through prayer or practical love.
