It is vital to our walk with the Lord to have a proper understanding and revelation of who the Heavenly Father is. We must understand that we have a loving, merciful, caring God who gives us good things. He will never harm or embitter us. However, in each person’s life there are times of great challenge, and seasons of need. God wants us to be able to understand that He is the supplier of all good things that will come to our lives. We can be thankful to the Lord in all things, because we know that He ultimately is supplying to us that which is truly needed in our life. Even when we do not see what is really needed, the Father God knows exactly the prescription to give us to cause us to increase in our righteousness and wisdom. The Father is continuously looking for ways to express His love and mercy to us. We read in Luke 12:32 that we are not to fear, for it is the Father’s good pleasure to give to us the Kingdom. You see, heirs are the ones who inherit the estate of the father, and we see in this scripture that Jesus was teaching us during His walk on the earth that we would inherit the kingdom of God as joint heirs with Jesus Christ. We have a marvelous eternal future that comes to us by the promises of our Heavenly Father! Even in this life, He knows how to give us good gifts that come down from the Father of lights. Only a rebellious child would miss the loving care of the instruction and wisdom of his father.
Scripture Study
“If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them
that ask Him?” (Matthew 7:11, KJV).
Be like the Father
This week’s characteristic of the Father’s family is that love shows mercy just as our Heavenly Father loves us and gives us good gifts through His mercy. Troubled by the circumstances around them. This is not always an easy thing to do; yet at the same time the Lord taught that it could be done.
