Gockle Run
Saturday, March 29, 2008 at New Life Christian Fellowship
New Life Christian Fellowship is pleased to announce the very first Gockle 5K “Run for the Prize” that will be taking place on March 29, 2008. The Gockle Fund was formed about 7 months ago in memory of Johnny Hohman to raise money in support of Youth Missions. Now, his legacy lives on through support for the cause that once captured his passion, as all of the proceeds will go toward the Gockle Fund for Youth Missions.
The Gockle “Run for the Prize” is open to participants of any age. There is also an option to do the 5K walk and a free one-mile “Fun Run” for children ages 12 and under to be able to participate as well. If you are an avid race fan, interested in getting involved in more fitness activities, or you just want to do what you can to support a good cause, the Gockle Run is a great outlet for you.

About John
Have you ever known someone who truly loved people...someone whose love convicted you, with whom one meeting causes you to ask how you can be more like them and more like Christ?
Johnny Hohman was a man who loved people. He loved everyone regardless of stature or position. He loved missions and longed to see Christ’s name proclaimed throughout the world.
This Run honors his memory and his vision to send today’s youth to the nations bringing hope and love to those that have no hope and need to know they are loved. Johnny entered this life on July 25, 1977 and entered into perfection on February 28, 2007.
Awards
Awards will be presented to the top male and female run times overall, as well as an award for the best male and female time in each age category. The awards will be distributed immediately following the race the day of the event.
